OASIS player ban system as a central system for excluding banned players from playing

The mandatory OASIS player ban system is a cross-gaming tool for protecting players and combating gambling addiction . Players with a ban entry in the OASIS ban file are prohibited from participating in gaming operations or receiving gambling advertising.

Blocking orders are issued by providers as third-party bans or by players as self-bans. The bans can be imposed for 24 hours or indefinitely.

After registration and before each game participation, providers of gambling products must assess the risk of addiction among game participants. Participation in the game is only permitted after receiving the exempting notification “The player is not banned.” If the OASIS system fails, no approval for game participation may be granted.

The player status query uses the fields “First Name”, “Last Name” and “Date of Birth”.

Licensed online providers and authorized betting agencies receive individual access, each with its own security certificate. Unlicensed providers do not receive access data to the OASIS system.

The insic system manages individual access data and OASIS certificates . Blocking orders are submitted via a supervisory authority website. Queries are made via a special supervisory authority web service.
